[March 24] You should pay attention!

[Belle Rousseau]

Making sure no one was looking, she reached over and plucked the note from his fingers, reading it quickly before she gave her head an amused shake.

'And what would be my 'aid-ly' duties?'

[Francis Bonnefoy]

It took all of France's willpower not to write a very explicit, long-winded note. Instead, he appeared to be in thought for about half a minute before writing down his reply.

'But of course, you must help me guide the little lost sheep into Heaven. No one can do this job but you!'

She glanced over at him when he didn't immediately start to write back, wondering what he was contemplating for all of half a second before realizing that that was not a place she would willingly want her mind to wander.

'Haha, It seems like a very big responsibility.'

[Francis Bonnefoy]

'Indeed it is, cherie. But I am more than sure that I can put it in your capable shoulders.'

Although this had started out as a joke, France was starting to get thoughtful about it. Help out poor souls to reach their full love potential, be responsible for happy couples or at the very least, happy one-night stands...

And that was when the professor threw a chalk between the two of them.

She smiled when she read the note, making to write something back in return before something rushes past her so quickly that it actually stirs her hair. She looked up and over at Francis before checking behind her to see a piece of chalk penetrating the wall behind her. The expression of her face turn to one of terrified horror as she slowly turned back to look at the professor, the expression on his face irritated and livid.

Maybe it was a mistake to underestimate the old man.

He did not see the chalk coming until he felt the wind of it passing right next to him. The face the professor had reminded him of a furious dog... granted, an old, bald dog, but a rabid dog nonetheless. Francis smiled weakly at him, giving him a peaceful wave, surely we can let this go?

Ah, no dice. The old man was already pointing at the door before he started screaming about no distractions in his class. Defeated, Francis started picking up his books.

When the professor pointed at the door she felt her stomach sink, looking from Francis to the professor and back to Francis only to see him picking up his books with a defeated look. She could only look on apologetically before looking back at the professor and...oh, if that wasn't a pointedly expectant look she didn't know what was.

With a sigh, she collected her books as well, getting up slowly before beginning to make her way through the row towards the aisle and out the door.

Francis was already pulling his best apologetic face as he opened the door for her, hoping for her forgiveness. "At least we do not have to listen to that lecture anymore?" He was crossing his fingers and hoping she wouldn't be mad at him - he had been rather noisy by the end of the conversation.

With a sigh she walked out the door and into the empty hall, leaning back against the wall beside the door and waiting for him. She really couldn't be too upset about it. After all, she was half of the commotion. That and it was very difficult for her to stay mad at Francis.

"I suppose not," she said softly, looking over at him with her books in her arms and a small smile on her face. "But we have an hour to kill before I have to get to my next class. You better keep me entertained until then."

Francis smiled with relief, and then with calm as he passed his arm around her shoulders. He really didn't want to get on Belle's bad side. "Of course, of course. Please, allow me to buy you a coffee, cherie. I know a good place down the street"

With a nod she looked over and smiled at Francis, thinking that a small break might be a good idea.

"Yeah, alright. I think that's just what I need after that lecture."
