France tripped a little as he was pushed back (do, do, do.......) before hitting his bed and being forced to sit down. If he had to be honest, he was in complete disbelief as he stared at the little man across the room. Well, well, well... He had not been expected THAT reaction.

Was this awkward or what? All Japan could do was avert his gaze, trying his best to calm down so his blush would die down but he only turned redder, completely embarrassed that he reacted in such a way right after meeting France.
He delivered his apology, head low. "I am very, very sorry! Please accept my most sincere apologies!"

France smiled, knowingly. Oh, how the Big Brother in him was stirring! The boy in front of him was clearly a nervous little dove that had just left the next and was lost in the sky. He just felt like guiding him into the new world in more than one way!
But of course, he had to be careful in the way he treated him. "Ah, do not worry, mon petit. It was my fault for being so sudden".

"You... you are not mad then?" Japan was so certain he would be! How could he have ever allowed himself to show his emotions like that? He contemplated simply not coming back to the room tonight even if France seemed alright with what he had done.

A chuckled escaped his lips as Francis shook his head reassuringly. "Of course not, Kiku. It was partly at fault as well, wasn't I?" He wasn't sure if Kiku was his last name or his first time. He just liked how it sounded better than Honda.
As a show of good peace he offered his hand for a handshake. "Shall we start again?"
Of course, he might be acting polite, but France WAS thinking of the different ways he could bend you over.

He couldn't help furrowing his brows the slightest and blushing again when he heard his name. He couldn't even recall the last time someone had called him that outright and with no honorific either... Kiku stared at the offered hand as he cleared his head. He was a foreigner, after all, and they addressed others by their first names all the time. Even so--
"Y-Yes. It... is a pleasure to meet you, Bonnefoy-san. Douzo yoroshiku. Please treat me well." He hesitated for a moment more before finally shaking his hand.

There was still some tension there, but Francis thought he had managed to break the ice, finally. He couldn't help be reminded of a frightened little puppy, afraid of his new surroundings. So of course, one had to reassure that puppy and treat him kindly, until he was eating from your hand and wagging his tail when he saw you (hopefully literally).
He shook his hand firmly but not crushingly. "Oh, please, call me Francis, or Big Brother" his tone hinted that he preferred the later. "And don't worry, Kiku... I will be gentle". In more than one way.

Japan pulled his hand away as soon as he thought he had shook for a reasonable amount of time (read: hardly reasonable at all). He blinks at him, confused for a moment. "Like... aniki? No, no, that is too rude for someone I have met only minutes ago, Bonnefoy-san."
After all, he did not have very fond memories of having a "big brother" and to be quite honest, he did not need one either. He would be fine on his own.

That was because, up to now, Francis had not been his older brother! Japan had been missing proper guidance into the adult world. "We'll just have to work on making you comfortable with it, then"
And as if to emphasize his words, he gave Kiku's shoulder a squeeze before going back to his bed and bringing out what seemed to be a new camera.

But I do not want to be comfortable with it. He wanted to say, but did not. Kiku winced a bit after Francis turned his back, disliking the squeeze.
However, he did look over curiously. "... camera?"

Francis, who was truly not expecting to hear some interest from the shy boy so soon, lifted his head up in slight surprise.
"Yes, it's a new one. I'm afraid the old one suffered a slight accident". He held up the semi-professional looking camera for him to see. It looked like the kind of thing you would use to take pictures of people from amongst the bushes. "Are you interested in these things?"

"Ye-- no. Ah, I mean, only a slight interest." It was not like he could ever say why exactly he had taken an interest in photography. "Your camera... do you use it often? Is Bonnefoy-san a photographer?"

Francis considered the reply to this question very carefully before answering. "Something like that. I'm more of an amateur, really". This was kind of shameless to say with the type of camera he had, but he figured that as long as he looked confident in saying it... "Would you like to take a look?"
Of course, he had forgotten the memory card was already in the camera.

Kiku nodded, a slight smile forming on his face. "Yes, please. If you do not mind." Perhaps he could learn something from this man. A new technique could possibly help him excited for his next set... His own photography had gotten so stale.

With a smile, Francis handed the camera over. "It's all yours". Inwardly, he was happy that he had found a point in common with Kiku already.
