- Lovino and his family took vacations to Spain from time to time throughout his childhood and preteen years. However, since Grandpa Rome liked to go out and
get somehave some adult fun, the local farm boy would get stuck babysitting the little brat. Thus, the infamous beginnings of Antonio and Lovino's beautiful friendship!! (Except they both really pissed each other off.) - In his teenage years, Lovino was consistently pestered by
those damn muffinssome mafia members. One of the few reasons he is glad to leave his home in Italy. - For a short bit in his early childhood, he stayed in a French orphanage called Norman's Foundation. Lovino hated it there and bickered constantly with his caretakers, so it led to a negative bias against any Frenchman to this very day. (Women are exceptions because, well, they're women.)
- Speaking of which, even though Lovino is very rude and brash to men, he totally changes when there's a pretty female nearby. He always tries to be charming and civil around the ladyfolk, tending to cling to the mindset that a woman can do no wrong. He's quite a cliche romantic around them.
- But otherwise, Lovino's kind of an asshole. Loud, crude, and rude, he tries his very best to express his displeasure to those he dislikes. In fact, he does this around people he likes, too. But it's in a more affectionate sort of way around his beloved ones. Obviously.
- He mostly does that to make himself seem tough and intimidating, because... he's really not. His very core is an extreme coward. Though he talks big, he definitely runs quick once he realizes that words don't always work on scary people. Lovino just a stubborn child at heart, so it's really not that hard to make him cry.
- However, he will definitely not hesitate to defend someone he really cares about (even if he does end up running away at first sign of danger). He's naturally very protective, and as a result, he gets easily jealous and wary of those who get within a twenty foot radius around his family or friends.
- Despite his constant clumsiness and general lack of talent in most fields, Lovino can cook up some intense Italian cuisine. He also has a natural affinity for fishing, as he has picked up the skill from the many fishing villages in his homeland.
- Even if he didn't enjoy his visits to Antonio's farm very much, he definitely admits that he obtained quite a love for tomatoes.
Rumor has it that he once wrote an entire song dedicated to them. - Lovino is very lazy and laidback. He's averse to any form of effort, since there's so much better things he could be doing! Like eating or sleeping or relaxing. He pretty much thinks that if he leaves it, someone else will just do the work for him. However, if he is given proper motivation, he can really go all-out.
- He claims to be a good Catholic, going to mass every Sunday and whatnot. But in reality, he actually doesn't practice the religion's principles very well.
A secret he/she wouldn't want anyone to learn about: Lovino is one of the most insecure people you can meet. He secretly envies his brother and his talent to obtain friends so quickly and constantly worries that people only want to get close to him just to have a connection with Feliciano or to be friends with a nation. He sort of has insecurity and abandonment issues because of this, and it didn't help that Grandpa always paid more attention to Feliciano.
Favorite Color: Green
Anything else?: I am a total amateur when it comes to understanding the Italian language, Italian culture, Italian history, Italian cuisine... BUT I RESOLVE TO TRY MY BEST! \o/ If I make silly mistakes, please don't hesitate to point them out.
