- France is one of Grandpa Rome's many "children". As such, he has gone through several things in his life, not all them necessarily "good"
- Although you might not be able to guess it, France's life has gone through some very tumultuous times, which include more than a few fights with his neighbors, and a great deal of internal issues. Because Grandpa Rome disappeared rather early into his life, France made allies and enemies rather fast, although those roles were never set in stone and had a tendency to change.
- Luckily, all bad things come to an end! La belle époque best represents Francis' current character- someone who is more interested in enjoying the finer things in life rather than with conflicts. France would prefer it if we could just kiss and make up, and then some.
- France's favorite hobby is cooking. He enjoys coming up with new recipes and cooking for a lot of people. His home is famous for its cuisine, after all, so he is particularly sensitive about the horrible food served in England and the US. On the subject of England, he gets particularly happy if he can rub in England's face just how much better he is.
- Although France is not necessarily a pacifist, he does sign up to the concept of being a lover, not a fighter. More than getting into a fist-fight, he'd prefer it if you were to take off your clothes, mon cherie.
- He really likes the concept of being looked-up to as a big brother. The idea of young, innocent nations, opening in their eyes as if awaiting all the answers in the world... it gets him excited in more than one way. This is the reason why he left his bear grow, although many claim that rather than giving him an "older brother" look, it adds to a disturbing aura.
- He likes to streak. There is no known explanation for this, but it would not be unusual to see him running around without any clothes on.
- Although he is no longer quite the conqueror and expansionist that he used to be, France still has a slightly kleptomaniac tendency when it comes to vital regions. It isn't unusual for him to try and grab a handful of them, which he might do with or without the other nation's permission. Most likely without.
- He doesn't get along with England very well. It seems that when France is saying blue, England is saying scones, and so on. Admittedly, France will say certain things just to annoy him, and that's just because England is so easy. He seems to have a similar relationship with America, although not quite as extreme. Lately they've been getting along better thanks to their bosses.
- He has been a close friend of Spain for a long time, although their friendship does include some backstabbing moments. Although not quite as long, he also is very close with Prussia. The three of them like to go out drinking sometimes.
- Even though he does not have a stable relationship, as he believes his love should be spread through ~everyone~, France will be the first to give out suggestions if you're suffering from love-sickness. It might offend him a little if you don't consider him as your number one choice for help in this matter, as he does consider himself an expert.
A secret he/she wouldn't want anyone to learn about: France would like to believe he is a playboy, that classy lover that has had over 9000 bed-mates. While this is actually true, the truth is that when he falls for someone, he falls hard- he is the (self-proclaimed) country of love, after all. So he tries to avoid it.
