Ten Facts About Your Character:
- Once upon a time, Elizabeta was the ultimate tomboy; she was aggressive, obsessed with sports, and got into a lot of fights (and won a good majority of them). At one point before puberty, she actually thought she was a boy. Then, she started having chest pains and one of her sort-of-friends pointed out that she did not have…an important part of the male anatomy. At that point, she finally remembered that she was indeed a girl.
- After the revelation about her true gender, Elizabeta started wearing more dresses and acting more like a girl. However, she still is very aggressive and will smack people (specifically a certain albino) with a seemingly spontaneously generating frying pan or whatever heavy object in her possession when provoked.
- Elizabeta had only one boyfriend (who she used to beat up when she was a kid) all throughout high school and even fancied the idea of marrying him. However, they made a mutual agreement to break up once high school ended; they are still relatively close friends, though.
- Because of her ex-boyfriend’s native tongue being German and English being a Germanic language, Elizabeta sometimes will accidentally slip in some German words when she speaks English. This problem typically does not happen when she speaks Hungarian, though.
- Elizabeta is a huge yaoi fangirl. Few people actually pay attention enough to realize it, though. Her carrying around a camera can be credited to this.
- Elizabeta takes pictures of some of her classmates, sometimes without their permission…Actually, often without their permission. Typically, she takes pictures of couples at school or possible targets for her crazy matchmaking schemes.
- In high school, Elizabeta used to babysit a really cute Italian girl and would dress her up in some of her old clothes. Then, she found out the Italian girl was actually a boy. (God, that really has to stop happening to her.)
- Despite only being twenty, Elizabeta is getting shorter due to a dropping population and the treaty of Trianon in 1920 greatly reducing Hungarian territory. She tries to not let it show by subconsciously walking on the balls of her feet to look a few inches taller and sometimes even wearing heels.
- Like most European nations, Elizabeta enjoys playing football/soccer and gets pretty competitive. She also likes hockey and badminton but does not play them as often.
- Although she may not look it, Elizabeta can be a pessimist and has a slight anxiety problem. (History professor Antal Szerb: “Those who were thinking logically in Hungary always despaired.”)
A secret he/she wouldn't want anyone to learn about: Elizabeta smokes even though she knows that tobacco is the single leading cause of death in Hungary. She is trying to stop, though, but the increase of female smokers in Hungary makes it even harder to quit.
